GnR Vineyard is one of four John Anthony Vineyard Oak Knoll District estates. Situated on the valley floor with an east-west vineyard orientation, only a portion of this 2.5-acre micro-estate is meticulously barrel-selected for the Cabernet Sauvignon Single-Vineyard Program. The distinct gravelly soils of the benchland in the Oak Knoll District impart robustness and beautiful tannin structure to the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on this property.

Oak Knoll District is located to the north of Napa city, placing it right in the path of the daily fog that creeps up from the Bay and making it one of the cooler AVAs. GnR vineyard is in the upper central part of the AVA on the valley floor which is dominated by gravelly soils with excellent drainage. The cool climate, long growing season and benchland terroir make for elegant wines with exceptional structure and aging ability.
